Buzzbytes is part of JooBee’s newsletter. Think of it as the bonus track🎶: a break from the usual format with behind-the-scenes updates, reflections and the occasional fun extra.

JooBee’s newsletter turns 3…come celebrate with me! 🎂

Three years, countless experiments, plenty of things that worked, things that didn’t and a few f*ck-ups… and the best part? You’ve been right here with me. Thank you 🤗

And because no birthday is complete without presents…

🎁 Birthday gift bag

I couldn’t exactly send cake to thousands of inboxes (logistically difficult 😆), so here’s what I can give you instead:

✨ 30% off STEP UP Bootcamp in November
(code: BIRTHDAY2026 - limited places left, expires 9 Oct)

✨ 30% off STEP UP MBA
(code: MBABIRTHDAY2026 - expires 9 Oct)

✨ 30% off Effective Manager in November
(code: EMBIRTHDAY2026 - 2 places left, expires 9 Oct)

🔢 Play Birthday Bingo + win 1 of 3 STEP UP MBA spots

I couldn’t resist adding a birthday game 😆...

 How to enter:

  • Step 1: Complete the Birthday Bingo card.

  • Step 2: Post your completed card on LinkedIn and tag me (so I can find it)

  • Step 3: You’ll get 3 entries into the lucky draw to win one of three prizes: 12 months of STEP UP MBA access 🎉

Don’t wait too long! Entries close Friday, 2 October and winners will be informed on Thursday, 8 October.

📊 Birthday poll

Three years later, it’s probably time I asked…

How did you first find your way here?

📣 Birthday shoutout

I’m always grateful when you take the time to reply to my newsletters. Some messages warm my heart, some make me feel incredibly valued, and some just make me giggle.

Your advice from your newsletters have been instrumental in my growth as an HR leader; they felt like one-on-one coaching, except we weren't meeting monthly. — Esther Ebeh

(😭 This makes all the writing worth it. Thank you, Esther!)

Just stole that whole section on promo principles! Thank you AGAIN! — Beccy Ingram

(🥳 Please steal away, Beccy. I consider this a sign of success.)

“Don’t just throw shit on the wall” 🤣 Love it!! — Sarah Power

(😆 Sometimes a strategically placed 💩 is exactly what the point needs.)

It's incredible how you can map out so clearly the conflicts we are experiencing in our careers. Amazing newsletter Joobee, grateful to have you in my inbox! — Eric Fank

(🤗 Thank you for trusting me with a little space in your inbox, Eric.)

🏆 And also…the Newsletter Readers’ Awards

Yesterday, I announced 10 very special reader awards on LinkedIn 😁

Click here to find out who took home the titles… a little bit of fun, but a whole lot of gratitude for all your support 🙏

🎂 Birthday wish

There are thousands of you reading this newsletter, and most of you I’ve never met.

So for my birthday wish, hit reply and tell me where in the world you’re reading from and how long you’ve been here.

Whether it’s been three years or three weeks, thank you for being here 🥹

Now go grab your presents and celebrate with me!

With love, Joobs 💛
